New Netcentric Location to be in Medellin, Colombia

You may have heard about Medellín's amazing transformation. We recognize the city's potential and how it fits our growth strategy. We're excited to be part of it.

Medellín has undergone an incredible transformation over the last decade and a half. It has overcome its difficult past and become a remarkable city. Netcentric noticed its potential and for some time, has been in the process of establishing a new office there. We are growing our operations with a development centre in Medellín to serve better and support our existing European clients and markets.

We sought out this dynamic city for many reasons. To name a few, it has a great IT talent base, high-quality university-level education and the support from initiatives like ProColombia and the International Cooperation Agency of Medellín (ACI).  As a growing IT hub, we recognise that this city has the potential to become the leading city in South America for IT. It is evident to us that Medellín’s emergence as a tech hub fits our growth strategy.

You may have heard about how Medellín has been changing culturally, economically and is an example of good governance. The Urban Land Institute ranked Medellín as the most innovative city in the world in 2013. The city has achieved a high degree of social cohesion and has invested in improving the standard of living for all citizens. Along with its temperate climate and beautiful natural setting, there are many reasons Medellín is a draw for talent from all over Colombia and Latin America.

Most of all, we see that Medellín has the willpower to move forward and develop even more. We are excited to be part of the future of this dynamic, ambitious city.
